I created this defence visualisation for Space / Thales, showing a Type 23 frigate firing a missile at sea while Merlin helicopters fly alongside the vessel. The image was designed to feel cinematic and operational, with the ship cutting through a dark ocean surface, missile smoke rising from the deck, and the aircraft adding scale, movement, and atmosphere to the scene.
The work involved detailed naval and aircraft visualisation, ocean creation, missile launch effects, smoke simulation, lighting, rendering, and post-production. I focused on giving the shot a realistic sense of action while maintaining a polished, dramatic look suitable for defence and aerospace presentation work.
