Estée Lauder – Product Animation & Visuals

This product visualisation and 3D animation project for Estée Lauder reflects the brand’s refined, luxurious identity through cinematic visuals.
The animation features delicate flower petals that interact with the product to symbolise beauty, grace, and a premium aesthetic.

I built the animation in 3ds Max, using TyFlow for soft-body dynamics and natural petal movement.
Each petal was controlled with custom physics setups to ensure fluttering motion and gentle interaction with the product.
Collision meshes were carefully defined to avoid clipping and maintain smooth contact with the product surface.
I introduced wind and turbulence forces with falloff controls to guide petal movement in an organic, elegant manner.

Simulation properties such as mass, damping, and friction were fine-tuned for realistic softness and tactile behaviour.
These adjustments made the petals respond gently to subtle movements and product contact.

The product model was created in 3ds Max, with textures developed in Substance Painter for material accuracy.
I used layered roughness, metallic, and normal maps to give surfaces a premium, tactile quality.
Micro-details, such as subtle imperfections, enhanced realism and visual interest.

Lighting was built using V-Ray, with a mix of HDRI environments and area lights to shape the product’s form.
Soft reflections and shimmering highlights were achieved using physically accurate V-Ray shaders.
Ray-traced caustics and controlled depth of field added a cinematic finish.

Final rendering produced polished visuals with clean materials, warm highlights, and photorealistic clarity.

This animation shows how advanced product visualisation and simulation can enhance storytelling for luxury brands.
It combines visual artistry with technical precision to create impactful assets for digital campaigns, social media, and high-end advertising.
