Every project is different, so costs depend on factors such as complexity, animation length, modelling requirements and rendering time. After discussing your brief, I’ll provide a clear quotation with no hidden costs. Whether you need a single product render or a full CGI animation, I aim to provide a solution that fits your budget.
3D Animation & CGI Visualisation FAQs
Timescales vary depending on the size of the project. A simple product visual may take just a few days, while larger animations can take several weeks. Once I understand your requirements, I’ll provide an estimated production schedule and keep you updated throughout the project.
2D animation projects are quoted individually based on style, duration and complexity. From simple motion graphics to fully animated explainer videos, I’ll recommend the most suitable approach and provide a fixed quotation wherever possible.
Most 2D animation projects are completed within one to four weeks, depending on the scope of work. If you have a deadline, I’ll always do my best to accommodate it.
I regularly create CGI and animation for the aerospace, automotive, defence, architectural, product, industrial and healthcare sectors. My engineering background allows me to quickly understand complex products and communicate them through clear, engaging visuals.
I primarily work with 3ds Max, V-Ray, After Effects, Substance Painter, TyFlow, PhoenixFD, Forest Pack, RailClone, Photoshop and Illustrator. Using industry-leading software allows me to create photorealistic imagery, technical visualisations and high-quality animations. Please check the services and software page for a full list of the services I provide and the tools I use.
Yes. I regularly work from CAD models, engineering drawings, STEP files and other technical reference material. I can optimise models for visualisation while maintaining technical accuracy.
Absolutely. Many of my projects involve confidential products and technologies. I’m happy to sign an NDA before discussing your project if required.
Yes. I work remotely with clients throughout the UK and internationally. Most communication takes place via email, Microsoft Teams or Zoom, making collaboration straightforward wherever you’re based.
Yes. Alongside CGI animations, I produce photorealistic still images for marketing, websites, brochures, product launches and presentations.
Yes. One of the biggest advantages of CGI is the ability to showcase products before they exist physically. This is ideal for product launches, exhibitions, investor presentations and marketing campaigns.
The number of revisions depends on the project and quotation. I work closely with clients throughout production, sharing previews at key stages to minimise changes and ensure the final result meets expectations.
Simply get in touch by emailing me directly with a brief description of your project. I’ll discuss your requirements, answer any questions and provide a quotation and estimated timescale.
I’ve worked professionally in the CGI industry for over 25 years, creating animations and visualisations for international brands, manufacturers, agencies and engineering companies across a wide range of industries.
Yes. I offer one-to-one training in 3D and 2D animation, tailored to your individual requirements and experience level. Whether you’re looking to improve your skills or learn specific software and techniques, training can be customised to suit your needs. Please contact me via email to discuss your requirements and pricing.
As CGI and animation projects require significant time and specialist expertise, I don’t generally undertake unpaid commercial work. However, I’m always happy to discuss charitable or community projects on a case-by-case basis.
With over 25 years of professional experience and a qualified engineering background, including a BTEC National Diploma and HND in Computer Aided Engineering, I combine creativity with technical expertise to produce accurate, photorealistic CGI. I focus on quality, clear communication and delivering visual content that helps clients explain complex ideas, showcase innovative products and communicate technical information with clarity and impact.
CGI allows products, buildings and vehicles to be visualised before they exist, making it ideal for product launches, marketing campaigns and technical presentations. It also provides complete control over lighting, camera angles, materials and environments, often reducing the cost and logistical challenges associated with traditional photography or filming.
