As a freelance 3D artist, I had the opportunity to work on a high-end aerospace visualisation campaign for the Citation Ascend.
This private jet represents a significant advancement in modern aviation, combining luxury design with next-generation engineering.
Working alongside the talented team at Sector5 Digital, we developed a series of 3D animations and still visuals.
These assets were created for use across the official Citation Ascend website and promotional content.
My focus was on crafting immersive, technically accurate visuals that showcased the jet’s innovation.
Using 3ds Max, I built the aircraft’s 3D model with precision, paying close attention to proportions and detailing in the fuselage and interior.
I used spline modeling and mesh optimization techniques to ensure smooth, production-ready geometry.
The materials and lighting were developed in V-Ray, where I set up a physically-based lighting environment using HDRI domes and photometric lights.
Custom V-Ray shaders were applied to mimic metal finishes, leather surfaces, and cockpit glass.
For motion and dynamic elements, I incorporated TyFlow and PhoenixFD.
TyFlow was used to simulate animated circuitry, giving the visuals a high-tech, energized feel.
With PhoenixFD, I created fluid particle effects to simulate airflow and engine visuals for enhanced realism.
Post-processing and compositing were completed in After Effects, where I refined motion, adjusted color balance, and added depth-of-field and glow effects.
This final stage brought cinematic polish to each animation.
As a 3D artist experienced in aerospace and product visualisation, I specialize in creating photoreal, technically-informed visuals for digital campaigns.
This project demonstrates my ability to combine creative storytelling with complex 3D workflows using industry-standard tools.
