As a freelance 3D artist, I had the opportunity to work on a high-end aerospace visualisation campaign for the Citation Ascend —
a next-generation private jet that combines advanced engineering with a refined luxury interior.
Working alongside the talented team at Sector5 Digital, we created a series of cinematic animations and still visuals for the official Citation Ascend website and wider promotional content.
My role focused on developing immersive, technically accurate visuals that highlighted both the innovation and design of the aircraft.
Using 3ds Max, I modelled and refined elements of the aircraft with close attention to proportion, surface detail,
and overall realism, ensuring the assets were suitable for high-end production and close-up renders.
Rendering, materials, and lighting were developed in V-Ray using physically based workflows, HDRI environments, and custom shaders to recreate
the subtle finishes found throughout the aircraft, from metallic surfaces and cockpit glass through to interior materials.
To help give the visuals a more dynamic and futuristic feel, I incorporated TyFlow and PhoenixFD for animated effects and atmospheric elements.
These simulations helped add motion, energy, and scale while still maintaining a clean premium aesthetic.
Final compositing and post-production were completed in After Effects, where I refined colour, motion, depth, and overall cinematic presentation.
This project was a great example of combining technical aerospace visualisation with creative storytelling, using industry-standard tools and workflows to produce polished, photoreal results.
