Script – 3ds max camera exporter for aftereffects
This script is useful if you have old Quixel imported materials that have slight variations on the texture names compared to the naming convention that FAB now uses.
Basically when you download any Quixel textures from Fab.com for old projects the texture names are different. This script will look at the _MissngBitmmaps.txt file and rename the new version of the downloaded fab textures to the old bridge style naming convention that you have inside 3dsmax.
Make sure the “_MissingBitmaps.txt” file output file created by the “Relink Bitmaps” script is in the same folder as this script. Select the _MissingBitmaps.txt file and then select the search folder – the same folder where your newly downloaded Fab textures reside.
You can run the script in preview/dry run mode and then, if everything checks out, run it properly so it renames the files.
Works well as far as I can tell. Let me know if there are any issues.
